Laura McQueen Thomason is the owner and lead designer for Laura McQueen Design.

Laura earned a B.A. in Public Relations in the Bay area, then followed her true passion and pursued a more specialized Degree at the prestigious Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach, CA. Laura has designed for diverse clientele along the West Coast, including California, Utah and Arizona.

Laura had the unique opportunity to observe the process of building, decorating, and marketing custom residences and boutique hotels from her family business. She credits her unique perspective for the entire design process to this family passion for creating beautiful spaces, and gains inspiration from exotic travels to Africa, Mexico and Europe.

Laura relishes in all types of design, focusing on balance, purpose and style. She believes interiors should be personal and functional, yet beautiful.  Laura describes her signature style as a mixture of Transitional and Old Hollywood Glam, infused with pops of color to keep things fresh and vibrant.

The culmination of Laura’s education, travel, and early exposure to the process of design, allows her to cater to the unique needs of her clients. Laura is passionate about conceptualizing what the client envisions as she brings timeless interiors to life one swatch and tile at a time.
